After deep carburizing + precision grinding, the tooth surface hardness reaches HRC 60±2, ensuring a service life of more than 20 years. We use German imported machining centers and gear measuring instruments for tooth shape optimization and dynamic balancing detection to ensure that the gear meshing error is less than 5μm, ensuring transmission accuracy from the source.

How Does A Wind Turbine Gearbox Work

The function of a wind turbine gearbox is to convert the low-speed high torque generated by the slow rotation of the wind blades into a high-speed output suitable for the generator input through a precision gear transmission structure. Specifically, the wind drives the main shaft to rotate slowly through the wind wheel. After this rotation enters the low-speed shaft of the gearbox, the speed is increased from about 20rpm to more than 1500rpm through a multi-stage helical gear or planetary gear set to meet the high speed requirements of the generator.

Raydafon's Wind Turbine Gearbox adopts a composite structure of planetary and helical gears, which effectively shares the load while improving transmission efficiency and extending the life of the whole machine. 18CrNiMo7-6 carburized alloy steel is selected as the gear material, and the tooth surface hardness reaches HRC60 or above, so it can withstand long-term operation in complex wind farm environments such as extreme cold, high humidity, and salt spray. The key internal components, such as bearings and seals, are all selected from internationally renowned brands to ensure stable system operation and reduce maintenance frequency.
